The Author's Gathering at the Nancy Carson Library was well attended and a great time.  It was exciting to meet other local authors and compare notes.  I am signing a book for Pam Boatwright in the first picture.  It was a delight to see her again.  She was one of our loyal customers at Heavenly Resources.

It was an honor to sit next to and meet Mrs. Idella Bodie.  She began writing after retiring from 31 years of teaching at South Aiken High School. She has authored over 24 books on South Carolina's history, historical figures, and geography. "I always try to focus on people when I write about history," she said. "Character is the most important thing."  She was impressed at how David and I developed characters' lives in "Why the Wind Blows", and then knitted them all together through the Civil War to present time.
