A taxi takes you someplace and leaves.
A stock can be worth something one day and be worthless the next.
God will not take you someplace and drop you off.
His grace is not sufficient for today and insufficient for tommorow.
Today, goodness and mercy are still on your trail.
God can do anything. . . but fail!

WE WILL NEVER FORGET!

Silent Night

You say you will never forget where you were when you heard the news on September 11, 2001.

Neither will I.

I was on the 110th floor in a smoke filled room with a man who called his wife to say, "Good-bye."

I held his fingers steady as he dialed.

I gave him the peace to say, "Honey, I am not going to make it, but it is OK, I am ready to go."

I was with his wife when he called as she fed breakfast to their children.

I held her up as she tried to understand his words and as she realized he wasn't coming home that night.

I was in the stairwell of the 23rd floor when a woman cried out for Me for help. "I have been knocking on the door of your heart for 50 years!" I said, "Of course I will show you the way home - only believe in Me now."

I was at the base of the building with the Priest ministering to the injured and devastated souls. I took him home to tend his Flock in Heaven. He heard my voice and answered.

I was on four of those planes, in every seat, with every prayer. I was with the crew as they were overtaken. I was in the very hearts of the believers there, comforting and assuring them that their faith has saved them.

I was in Texas, Kansas, London. I was standing next to you when you heard the terrible news. Did you sense Me?

I want you to know that I saw every face. I knew every name - though not all know Me. Some met Me for the first time on the 86th floor.

Some sought Me with their last breath.

Some couldn't hear Me calling to them through the smoke and flames; "Come to me...this Way...take My Hand." Some chose for the final time, to ignore Me.

But, I was there.

I did not place you in that tower that day. you may not know why, but I do. However, if you were there in that explosive moment in time, would you have reached for Me?

September 11, 2001 was not the end of the journey for you. But someday your journey will end. And I will be there for you as well. Seek Me now while I may be found. Then, at any moment, you know you are "ready to go."

I will be in the stairwell of your final moments.

Remember,...I love you.

No one can go back and make a brand new start.

Anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.

God didn't promise days without pain, laughter without sorrow, sun
without rain, but He did promise strength for the day, comfort for the tears,
and light for the way.

Sometimes our dreams shatter due to circumstances beyond our control. God has a deeper, higher, more satisfying dream to replace the shattered dream. Trust Him, obey Him moment-by-moment, then watch something greater than you can possibly imagine unfold in your life.

"America was founded by people who believed that God was their rock of safety. I recognize we must be cautious in claiming that God is on our side, but I think it's all right to keep asking if we're on His side." --Ronald Reagan

20 Truths That Release us to be Real

1. God is good (Ps. 119:68; 136:1).

2. God loves me and wants me to have His best (Rom. 8:32, 38-39).

3. I am complete and accepted in Christ (Eph. 1:6).

4. God is enough (Ps. 23:1).

5. God can be trusted (Isa. 28:16).

6. God doesn't make any mistakes (Isa. 46:10)!

Everything that comes into my life has been "filtered through His fingers of love." God can do anything but fail!

7. God's grace is sufficient for me (2 Cor. 12:9).

8. The blood of Christ is sufficient to cover all my sin (1 John 1:7).

9. The cross of Christ is sufficient to conquer my sinful flesh (Rom. 6:6-7).

I don't have to sin (Rom. 6:14).

10. My past does not have to plague me (1 Cor. 6:9-11).

My past failures can become stepping stones to greater victory and fruitfulness. If I will let Him, God will cause everything that has happened to me to work together for my good and His glory.

11. God's Word is sufficient to lead me, teach me, and heal me (Psalms 19:7;107:20;119:105).

12. Through the power of His Holy Spirit, God will enable me to do anything that He commands me to do (1 Thess. 5:24).

There is no one I cannot forgive (Mark 11:25).

There is no one I cannot love (Matt. 5:44).

I can give thanks in all things (1 Thess. 5:18).

I can be content in every circumstance (Heb. 13:5).

13. I am responsible before God, for my behavior, responses, and choices (Ezek. 18:19-22).

14. I will reap whatever I sow (Gal. 6:7-8).

15. The pathway to true joy is to relinquish control (Luke 1:38; 1 Peter 5:7; Matt. 16:25):

. . . of my life

. . . of my loved ones

. . . of my circumstances

Inward joy comes from knowing and trusting God, my Creator. This joy is steady as long as I trust God. This joy defeats discouragement, is complete, and lasting.

16. Personal holiness is more important than temporal happiness (Eph. 5:26-27, Psalm 4)

Temporal happiness results from pleasant circumstances, is unpredictable, and covers up discouragement instead of defeating it.

17. It is impossible to be godly, without suffering.

Suffering is a tool in the hand of God to conform me to the image of Jesus (1 Peter 5:10).

18. My suffering will not last forever (2 Cor. 4:17-18; Ps. 30:5).

19. "It's not about me; it's all about Him!" (Col. 1:16-18).

20. The greatest commandment is to “You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, all your mind, and strength. The second is equally important… Love your neighbor as yourself”. (Mark 12: 30,31)

According to Jesus, these two commandments summarize all of God’s laws.
If I let these commandments rule my thoughts, decisions, and actions, love God completely and care for others as I care for myself…then I have fulfilled the intent of the Ten Commandments.

"If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free." John 8:31-32

Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice saying, "This is the Way, walk in it." Isaiah 30:21
Jesus said...quote...

"I am come that they
might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. " John 10:10

Abundant is defined in Webster's as
present in great quantity....
or ...more...than adequate...

Think about it, ...isn't it more
awesome to experience peace.... in the
middle of war... than to experience peace
....during peaceful circumstances.

Now...here we are...beginning to get the
picture...
understanding how abundant life can be....

...if we allow it...

and quit demanding that
things be done our way.... bad
circumstances removed....
before we will believe in Him as Savior
and let Him be born in our stable......

The smelly stable of
selfishness....
greed...
jealousy...
out-of-control anger...
etc...etc...etc...

The acts that reside in this flesh
we carry around with us...

...there is none righteous...
no, not one... Romans 3:10
We know the smell
of the excrement of man's flesh...
we saw a huge amount of it spewed out
in hate and murder
on September 11th..

..the stench and horror...
those horrendous acts...

of religious fanaticism ...

men committing suicide and murdering ...
trying to reach a god..with
the death of so many innocent...
the stench of needless death
curled and rose
in putrid black entrails of smoke

from the rubbage left behind....

The horror of despair...
men committed
suicide in desperate acts of religion..

worship that spills human blood...

...to a flesh-eating god that is deaf...
to human cries of pain...
from both the suicides...
and the murdered...
a god that feeds on...
and is drunk with...
the smell, blood, and hopelessness
of suicide and murder...

When all the time the real......one true God that created us...
stepped out of heaven ...came down to us
in the form of His Son, Jesus Christ...
and brought life in the
middle of the stench in a stable...
Again, the smell of innocent human blood
spilled by murder
again rose in the air...
like Abel's blood in the first murder
this time Jewish baby boys...
under the age of two...
killed in cold blood... murdered by a power-hungry political official
.... in an attempt to stop or kill the One
who was born in man's stable...
to save man from himself...
and to cancel man's sin debt to God...
Years later, Religious fanaticism cried out
" crucify Him"...
"He's not our idea
of who the Messiah should be"...
Birth in the stable...
Death on the cross...
Jesus Christ defeated them both...
And breathed Resurrection into Creation...

The blood of this man...Jesus..
both man and God...
forever set man free..

if...
we each individually...
allow Him...

...by asking Him in our hearts and lives...

He will give us life...and new birth...
not when we change...or...
when circumstances change....but
right in the middle of our stables...

If...we allow Him....He is a Gentleman...He will not force us to Himself... but lovingly gave everything for us first...and then gives us the choice....................
